I love how this one person helping another in recovery works out for us most of the time. For instance, just this morning as I was checking my twitter account I received a simple comment from a stranger telling me how much they liked the site here and to keep up the good work and I gotta tell ya I really needed to hear that this morning. The timing was perfect as I was slowly just coming out of my poopy headspace of late and starting to see the light again when I read it, which prompted me to start writing this post.
That is how it works though it is one addict helping another and non-addicts helping those in recovery with love instead of judgment because love is the answer. Words of kindness my friends are so important because you just do not know who may read what you write or hear the kind words you say when you say them. You just don’t know you could literally save a life by telling someone to have a great day. Just a random act of kindness has more power than any of us really know all I can say is I have been a recipient of this love I talk about and it helps so why don’t we do it more?
Love Has Power
Maybe that is what we should focus on this week, making a difference in someone else’s life, putting a smile on a strangers face. Just think if everybody tried to make someone smile each day the whole darn world would be smiling is that not beautiful my friends. You see we have the power to love each other all the way through this journey and the love we would be giving would be pure unadulterated love! The purest, most powerful form there is.
Think about the last time someone did a random act of kindness for you? Think about how it made you feel, it feels good, it’s almost undeniable goodness because our soul receives it even if our minds don’t if that makes sense. And if you haven’t or cannot think of a time when that happened doesn’t it kind of make you wish you had? Don’t you wish that we all cared about each other well being? It is important we take care of each other because outside of a God we are all we have!
Saying that then makes me feel like our happiness is our own responsibility, we have the power you see to keep each other happy. We do that by lifting each other up with words of kindness and encouragement. By putting someone else’s needs before our own sometimes. By genuinely caring for others well being. Gosh I wish I could put all the love I have for humanity in each one of your hearts but I cant. I can though share it liberally with all who wish to receive it that I can do. That is something we can all do.
Saying that makes me feel like I should stop writing now and go and make somebody smile. Maybe I will just go for a walk until I am able to tell someone to have a blessed day. Maybe that is what we should all try and do today what do ya say, my friends? Today let’s make somebody smile and if we do that collectively we will have for a moment changed the world for the better, I love that. SO until we meet again you all keep smiling and making others do the same, I love you all friends stay blessed!
